Hi, I’m Phoebe, a multidisciplinary artist and self-taught seamstress with a First Class degree in Costume Design.

My work explores contrast, sitting between the uncanny and the alternative, and the soft and romantic. I’m drawn to the strange and the sweet, the delicate and the bold, creating costumes that carry emotion, storytelling and a sense of character.

After several years working across multiple industries as a costumier and seamstress, I founded Phoebe Niemira Costume Studio to create high-quality, distinctive costumes that feel considered, expressive and lasting. Each piece is either handcrafted in-house or carefully curated, with attention given to detail, longevity and purpose.

The studio is designed to grow alongside me and my collaborators, building a thoughtful collection of bespoke and ready-to-hire costumes - breathtaking to wear, meaningful to create, and offering lasting value for everyone involved.
