Commission a one-of-a-kind costume designed and made specifically for your project, for you to purchase and keep.

How It Works

  • Submit an enquiry with details about your project, dates and requirements. This helps inform me to give you the best service and experience for your needs.

  • If the project is a good fit, we’ll discuss the concept, budget, timeline and intended use. A design direction and quote will be provided, along with terms.

  • Once agreed, the costume is designed and constructed in-house.

    Each bespoke to buy service offers up to 2 free design alterations before an additional fee applies.

    Fittings may be arranged where appropriate to ensure comfort, movement and fit is as desired.

  • Upon completion I’ll be in touch to check everything over and arrange for you to collect or have your costume couriered.

    The full remaining balance must be paid before dispatching your costume.

    I offer a complimentary 12 month Costume Care Membership to all Bespoke to Buy customers, so you can have peace of mind if it’ll be a heavily used costume. Learn more about how Costume Care Memberships work here!

What To Expect

  • Each bespoke-to-buy project begins with a design consultation to discuss your brief, references, timeline and intended use. Design direction, scope and budget are agreed before making begins.

  • Your costume is designed and constructed specifically for you. Fittings are arranged as appropriate to ensure comfort, fit and finish, with the number and format agreed in advance.

  • Bespoke-to-buy projects require sufficient lead time for design, construction and fittings. Timelines vary depending on complexity and studio availability and are confirmed prior to booking.

  • All bespoke-to-buy projects are quoted individually following consultation. A deposit is required to secure the booking, with remaining payments agreed in advance.

  • Once completed and fully paid for, the costume becomes your property. Final collection or delivery arrangements are confirmed prior to completion.

Pricing for bespoke-to-buy commissions varies depending on design complexity, materials, build time and deadlines. All projects are quoted individually following enquiry and initial consultation.

A deposit is required to secure a bespoke-to-buy booking. Full pricing, payment stages and terms are provided and agreed before work begins.

Please note that bespoke-to-buy commissions are subject to availability and studio discretion, and not all requests can be accommodated.

Lead Times and Availability

Bespoke-to-buy commissions require sufficient lead time to allow for design development, construction and fittings. Lead times vary depending on the complexity of the piece, materials required and current studio availability.

Availability is limited, and all bespoke-to-buy projects are reviewed on an individual basis. While shorter timelines may be possible in some cases, they cannot be guaranteed and are subject to studio capacity.
